One thing worth knowing: the monthly plan shows "No recurring fees" on the pricing page. That means it's a one-time charge, not an auto-renewing subscription. If you want one month to test it properly, you won't get surprise billed in 30 days.
The "up to 70% off" first purchase banner has been there for months. It's not a real countdown.

The free tier technically lets you access the anime generator and write NSFW prompts. You just can't generate anything useful. One credit, one day. And whatever comes out is blurred until you pay.

Anime Character Generator
This is the main reason anyone in this niche uses SoulGen. The platform has a dedicated "Anime Character" tab that's completely separate from the realistic character generator. Under it, you get three styles:

The Free Tier Reality

The credit cost is the problem. Video generation runs 10-24 credits per 5 seconds. At 100 credits per month on the base plan, you're looking at 4-10 short clips maximum if you spend everything on video. If you mix image and video generation, the credits split quickly.
The video quality on SoulGen 2.0 is genuinely improved over the first version. Human joint accuracy, color consistency, and motion smoothness all got major upgrades. Still not cinematic, but it's not a slideshow.
SoulChat: Not What You're Looking For
SoulChat has a catalog of AI companions with names, backstories, and personality traits. The chat is responsive, stays in character, and has decent interaction quality.
There's just one problem: every single companion is a realistic woman. Elara the nutritionist. Mila the café barista. Sienna the hotel concierge. Not one anime character in the list.
If you came to SoulGen for waifu chat, this isn't it. The image generator does anime. The chat does not. They're two separate experiences that don't really connect.
Free users also get a limit on chat: memories are only kept for 30 days. After that, the companion forgets the conversation history. Pro keeps memories permanently.
Other Tools
SoulGen includes Human Modeling for photo-realistic character generation, Face Swap, AI Outpainting, and basic image editing tools. These are Pro features and add value if you're doing more advanced creative work, but they're not the core reason to use SoulGen for hentai content.
